Spending time in rehab

Managing Director, David Patrick and Client Services Director, Amanda McDonald spent a morning at Willowdene Rehabilitation Centre in Shropshire where all the residents are ex-heroin users. During their nine month stay, residents achieve on average 20 nationally recognised qualifications including IT, English, Maths and work-based qualifications in subjects like Forestry, Agricultural Engineering and Welding.

Willowdene Managing Director, Dr. Matthew Home comments, “We were delighted that Amanda and David spent time with our lads, helping to give them a better chance of integrating with their communities. I am hoping to use Yes Agency’s Community Consult model over the coming months to help to engage with employers in a variety of communities to improve our performance.”

The activity is part of a series of initiatives lead by Yes Agency to understand how communities operate. Amanda McDonald comments, “We are keen to use this experience to develop genuine insights that our Clients can use to promote their products and services such as education, rehabilitation and social housing to the people in our communities that really need them.”
