Midlands based marketing company, Yes Agency, recently undertook an ambitious renovation project, to turn a Uttoxeter church into a creative, modern office environment to accommodate its growing team.
Yes Agency saw the need for expansion due to rapid business growth, as Chief Executive, David Patrick explained: “It’s been an exciting time for us over the last 12 months. The development of a unique new approach to community marketing has resulted in a string of new business wins and the employment of a talented designer and account director. We wanted a suitable creative environment to accommodate our growth plans.”
As a result, Yes made the bold move of redeveloping new offices on Springfield Road, Uttoxeter. The building, formerly a church, offered an exciting opportunity to create a modern environment for the next phase of the agency’s development. In an effort to retain the building’s heritage it has been renamed, ‘The Vestry’.
With an ambitious 5 week renovation schedule, Stoke-on-Trent builder Steve Connolly transformed the property into stylish and spacious offices. The project was managed by Uttoxeter-based interior designer and project manager, Michala Naughton.
Ms. Naughton added, “We’ve created a unique and vibrant office setting using the building’s history as a theme for the new look. The property started life as an MoD building in the 1940’s, so we have incorporated military stripes into the carpeting. We’ve also been sympathetic to its past as a church by using the liturgical colour purple throughout. It’s been fantastic to breathe new life into a place with so much history.”
To launch the new offices, Yes are hosting an event on the 30th January 2015 for those who have helped to make the project a reality as well as neighbouring businesses, clients and the local community. Deputy Mayor, Andrew Riley, will be unveiling a commemorative plaque, followed by live Jazz and champagne.
