Approach: UK Trade & Investment helps UK-based companies succeed in international markets and encourages overseas companies to invest in the UK. We have worked with UKTI for several years to support them in promoting their services to small and medium-sized enterprises. This has included a multitude of communications including targeted direct mail, promotional emails and event communications, all designed to drive attendance at regional export seminars.

To ensure each event was well attended, we sourced the data, designed and printed the promotional direct mail. We developed a microsite to channel visitors and managed the online event bookings, issuing email reminders and joining instructions. We also provided telemarketing support to drive attendance.

Our most recent campaign for UKTI’s export support services was aimed at independent UK dairy manufacturers. This highlighted the opportunities and potential for export sales in the food and drink with a view to encouraging farmers, retailers, manufacturers and wholesalers to take advantage of the support available from UKTI and DEFRA. Using an eye-catching visual approach and the quirky use of foreign language, this campaign clearly promoted the benefits of seeking support from UKTI in driving export sales as part of UKTI’s ‘Food is Great’ campaign.
